After peaking at 300 pounds and working more than 60 hours a week at a desk job I decided it was time for a change. I coached myself down 150 pounds and took up cycling and running to help burn more calories in addition to deeply researching proper nutrition. I grew up swimming and began teaching swim at age 13 and really enjoyed being with people passionate about their health and wellness and decided to return to school (the University of Texas at Tyler) for a B. S. degree in Kinesiology (graduated in Dec. 2017). Since then I have coached several people through their first triathlons, swimming goals, and cycling events. I love learning and researching about nutrition, performance, and endurance sports. As a coach I love helping people find their finish lines and helping athletes work through the mentally and physically hard parts of training to meet their goals. As an athlete my favorite distance is the ½ Ironman but I enjoy also enjoy running races, mountain biking, long distance cycling tours, and long course swimming and am training for a full Ironman distance race in April 2019.
